How to use

  1. Enter the date of birth.
  2. Leave the second date as today, or set it to work out an age at another date.
  3. Select Calculate age.
  4. Read the exact age in years, months and days, plus the totals below.

Features

  • Exact age in years, months and days, not a rounded decimal.
  • Totals in days, weeks, months and hours.
  • The weekday you were born on, and days until the next birthday.
  • Dates are handled as plain calendar dates, so the result never shifts with your timezone.

Frequently asked questions

How are months counted?
Whole calendar months are counted first, then the leftover days. Borrowing uses the length of the preceding month, which is what people mean by being one month older.
What about someone born on 29 February?
In a non-leap year the anniversary falls on 1 March, which is the convention most jurisdictions use. On 28 February they are still the younger age.
Can I calculate an age in the past?
Yes. Change the second date to any date on or after the date of birth to get the age as it was then.

How long between two dates — with the off-by-one named rather than assumed, and weekends counted separately.

Convert a Unix timestamp to a date, or a date to a timestamp — in UTC and your own zone.

See one moment across several places at once — with the hours that do not exist called out.
